Volume 03

Granules is our rolling submissions feature, publishing work throughout the year outside of our themed issues. We welcome poems, prose, visual art, and hybrid forms that are exploratory, urgent, and alive to language. Surprise us. Send work that lingers in uncertainty, takes risks, asks difficult questions, or discovers something new in the act of making. We’re interested in pieces that feel necessary, attentive, and formally engaged—work that extends the conversations at the heart of Mouthful of Salt while charting its own course.

You can find the full Granules archive here.

On the left is an illustration of a Black woman’s side-profile silhouette with textured afro hair decorated with colorful geometric patterns and small heart shapes.
